The whole family is invited to this beautiful and significant ceremony held every year on Rosh Hashanah. “The Tashlich” (a Jewish prayer recited on Rosh Hashana) will be accompanied by music, greetings and a festive blow at the shofar.
The custom of the process is a traditional ceremony that takes place on the first day of Rosh Hashanah before sunset, where there is running water. During the process, participants shake their pockets and symbolically impose the grievances, anger, and sins of the past year, and seek forgiveness and blessing for the New Year. It is customary to get close to a water source, empty your pockets and say, “Throw all your sins into deep seas” (וְתַשְׁלִ֛יךְ בִּמְצֻל֥וֹת יָ֖ם כׇּל־חַטֹּאותָֽנו)
This custom is marked yearly at Daniel House, on the banks of the Yarqon River, men, women, and children together, accompanied by music and Shofar blowing.
Target audience: Families, wide audience.
Location: In front of Beit Daniel, Benny Dan 62 Tel Aviv
