Planting Israeli trees in the parks

As part of planting events we have nowadays in Ganey Yehosha, we hosted a planting event with the community of Bavli quarter. We planted various orchards and Israeli trees, such as:

• Mulberry trees of different Baladi species
• Ficus fig tree of different Baldi species
• Ficus sycomorus
• Pomegranate
• Red Hawthorn
• Ceratonia silique
• Ziziphus jujube
• Ulmus canescens (a tree that once grew along the banks of the Yarkon River)
• Quercus ithaburensis
• Quercus suber
• Almond

The event was accompanied with crafting special signs for the trees.

We continue the planting in various areas of the Ganey Yehosha gardens and Menachem Begin park, especially in the areas where ill trees have been removed due to the danger they brought upon the visitors of the park.
